NetaWin ("we", "us", "our") operates a campaign management platform for political candidates in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to candidates and their campaign teams who use NetaWin, and to voters whose data is processed by candidates through the platform (for outreach, canvassing, and analytics).
2. What we collect
- Account data: mobile number, name, government ID for KYC verification (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID).
- Campaign data: constituency, party affiliation, election type, brand assets you upload.
- Voter data: contact details and canvassing notes that candidates import or collect through the platform.
- Usage data: device information, IP address, and interaction logs for security and analytics.
- Payment data: processed by Razorpay; we do not store full card numbers.
3. Why we collect it
To provide the platform's core functionality (campaign management, voter outreach, election-day tracking), to verify candidate identity as an anti-fake-registration safeguard, to process payments, and to comply with legal obligations under Indian election and data-protection law.
4. Your rights under the DPDP Act
Voters and candidates can request access to, correction of, or erasure of their personal data through our Consent Self-Service Portal. Erasure requests are processed within 72 hours where legally permissible.
5. Data sharing
We share data with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform (payment processing, cloud storage, messaging providers), each bound by contractual confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal data.
6. Data retention
Data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus any additional period required by applicable election or financial-record-keeping law. See our Data Retention Notices in-app for candidate-specific timelines.
